The Delta Pi Omega Chapter of Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc. was officially established in South Bend, Indiana, as the result of the dedication and hard work of a group of committed individuals. On May 1, 2024, the chapter was granted its full charter by the Grand Directive and the Intermediate Officers of Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc., after meeting all requirements set forth by the Fraternity's bylaws.
The chapter’s founding members—Brothers Brian Frazier, King Dancler III, Nathaniel Smith II, James Cowley, Tom Walker, Daniel Degraphenreed, Terrance Clark Sr., Shanon A. Buari Sr., Michael Boyd, Austin Price, and Louren Bates—were instrumental in the chapter’s creation, and their commitment to expanding the reach of Iota Phi Theta in the Midwest region was recognized and celebrated.
The Delta Pi Omega Chapter was awarded its designation in recognition of its steadfast dedication to social activism, philanthropy, and the Fraternity’s guiding principles. As a chapter, Delta Pi Omega continues to uphold the values of Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc., ensuring that it adheres to all fraternal regulations, municipal laws, and maintains a high standard of service and community involvement.
Since its inception, the chapter has remained devoted to brotherhood, academic excellence, and impactful community service, fulfilling the mission of Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc. while contributing positively to the South Bend area.
